First Year Living With My Husband

Have you ever heard something along the lines of "you don't truly know someone until you've lived together" well before getting married I heard plenty of things along these lines. "Are you sure you're ready to marry him? You don't know if he leaves the toilet seat up or if he chews too loud." Everyone had an opinion about me getting married so gosh darn young! People would ask me if I was ready to have someone playing video games while I cooked and cleaned, or if I was ready to do not only my own laundry but his as well. After hearing things like this I wonder "Am I really ready?" Of course the answer is always no! We are never completely ready for change, but change is what makes the world go round don't you think? Yet living with my husband has not been like anything anyone said it would, so maybe I lucked out?

Although I heard all of these constant warnings I wasn't aware of the warnings Chris was getting...... from my family! My husband constantly heard things like "You understand she doesn't cook right?" My parents wanted my husband to be very aware of who exactly he was marrying. Though it wasn't just my parents that had warned him. I have a sister who is a senior in High School and the only advice she could give was "hold on to your socks because she is always taking them." My poor sweet 10 year old brother who wants nothing more but someone to play with him states that "she's always sleeping" or "she's always on her phone" he was so full of energy all the time and I just simply couldn't keep up so of course I was tired sometimes..... My sister who is about 12 years old just simply wished my husband luck.

Who knew he would need the friendly advice more than me?!
